Kenosha EPC is seeking a mid/senior level process engineer for midstream oil and gas, renewable and industrial projects. The engineer will be responsible for completing process engineering tasks independently and/or as part of a collaborative team environment. Much of the project work will be done either remotely or in office environment with occasional requirement to travel for site walkdowns or meetings. This position may require overtime including evenings and weekends when required to meet client schedule. Typical Responsibilities
- Lead process engineering tasks and coordinate project deliverables with multiple disciplines
- Check work done by other process engineers as well as mentor and provide professional guidance.
- Develop process flow diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams.
- Develop heat and material balance information using various commercial software.
- Perform hydraulic analysis and calculations for piping systems.
- Perform process studies and develop design basis documents.
- Define process conditions of service to support procuring equipment and instruments.
- Analyze problems and take appropriate action to ensure continuous and reliable operation of equipment and systems.
- Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Design pressure relief systems including flare header design, relief valve sizing calculations, and relief scenario analysis.
- Complete sizing and rating of various equipment like pumps, horizontal and vertical vessels, shell and tube heat ex-changers, and air coolers.
- Develop control philosophies and cause and effect diagrams.
- Participate in PHAs, model reviews, and client design reviews.
- Present technical information to peers or other personnel for review, to implement operating procedures, and resolve system malfunctions.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Travel/visit client sites to gather equipment information.
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in chemical engineering and extensive experience in the oil and gas or renewable energy sectors and should be adept at employing engineering principles and techniques to solve complex problems while maintaining a commitment to safety and reliability.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years plus of experience, preferably in upstream and midstream oil and gas, renewable energy and energy transition industries.
- Proficiency in iPRSM is required.
- Demonstrated experience with pressure relief system design, relief valve sizing calculations, and relief scenario analysis.
- Experience with simulation software such as Symmetry or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
