Kenosha EPC has a position available for a Senior Structural Engineer.  For this role, Kenosha EPC offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at our Centennial office.  Qualified candidates will have a diverse technical background in structural engineering coupled with experience interacting with the design teams and leading tasks on projects.

 Scope/Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of a Structural Engineering Lead or act as a Structural Engineering Lead at the project level.
  • Responsible for coordinating efforts with other engineering disciplines.  Communicate regularly with project managers regarding project schedules and completing projects / tasks within budget and schedule.
  • Perform calculations, execute complex structural analyses, and prepare sketches and drawings for the design of industrial facilities and manufacturing facilities.
  • Perform engineering calculations for steel connection design using software such as Bentley Ram Connection or RISAConnection.
  • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering and design personnel.
  • Check calculations and deliverables made by other engineers.
  • Assist the design groups in resolving layout and detailing problems.
  • Perform field trips as required for walk down purposes and engineering information gathering.
  • Respond to RFI’s and review contractor submittals.

Required Experience/Credentials

  • B.S. in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering performing structural design engineering preferably in the oil and gas industry or heavy industrial.
  • PE certification is required.

Desired Credentials and Skills

  • Familiarity with the latest editions of the International Building Code, ASCE 7, ACI 318, and AISC Steel Construction Manual.
  • Proficiency with use of structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, STAADPro, or SAP2000.
  • Proficiency with use of software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience designing manufacturing facilities is a plus.
  • SE certification.
